Mugabe threatens to reject Zuma as mediator

HARARE – President Robert Mugabe threatened Monday to reject South African counterpart Jacob Zuma as facilitator for the tense power-sharing government formed to stop Zimbabwe’s political melt-down.
Mediators from the 15-nation Southern African Development Community (SADC) brokered the power-sharing deal between Mugabe and rival Morgan Tsvangirai in 2008, and have appointed Zuma to oversee implementation of the pact.
But Zuma’s facilitation team has riled Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party by pushing for faster implementation of reforms agreed to in the deal.

Buffalo spotted in the Otjozondjupa Region last week has still not been tracked down.

The buffalo that was spotted in the Otjozondjupa Region last week has still not been tracked down.

The animal was spotted in the region just a week after another buffalo was gunned down there.

Buffaloes found in this area are Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) free, according to Shoopala.
