UNAM beat Kudus to extend lead at the top

The University of Namibia (UNAM) extended their lead at the top of the log by 17 points after beating Kudus 37-26 in the ninth round of the Rugby Premier League on Saturday.

The match was played at the Narraville Stadium in Walvis Bay.
The win away from home has put the university team in a cruising position with 45 points on the Premier League log standing.

UNAM scored four tries which were all converted. They also scored three penalties for their 37 points on the day. Their four tries gave them a bonus point.

Kudus, who only managed to score three tries, are still fifth on the log with 20 points.

Other matches played over the weekend saw Khomasdal's Western Suburbs beat Wanderers 33-27 at their home in Pionierspark. Suburbs scored five tries of which four were converted, while Wanderers scored four tries to gain a bonus point despite the defeat.

With the bonus point Wanderers remain second on the log, 17 points behind UNAM. They have 28 points from eight matches played.

United, whose match against Reho Falcon was moved to 16 June 2018, are now fourth on the log standing with 23 points from eight matches played as well.
After defeating Wanderers, Suburbs moved to third place on the log standing with 27 points.

Rehoboth are sixth on the log standing with 19 points from eight games, while Reho Falcons are bottom of the log with one point from eight matches played.
