Namibia has eight boxers in the top 15 positions of the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) rankings for November and they fall under the same stable.

South Africa has six, Nigeria three, and Ghana and Tanzania one boxer each.
Namibia’s top-rated boxer is Julius Indongo, who improved his rating from world number four to three. He is the WBO Africa Junior Welterweight champion.

Japhet Uutoni is ranked fourth and is the organisation’s Junior Flyweight International champion, while Immanuel Naidjala improved his rating from number eight to six and is the WBO Bantamweight Inter-continental champion.

Sakaria Lukas is eighth and the current WBO Africa Featherweight champion.

Paulus Moses is ninth from position 15. He is the WBO Africa Lightweight champion.

Jeremiah Nakathila and Walter Kautondokwa are both ranked 11th in the WBO Junior lightweight category and WBO Middleweight category respectively.
Nakathila is the WBO Africa champion and is currently in Russia to fight for the vacant Inter-continental title.

Paulus Ambunda is 15th in the Junior Featherweight category.

All boxers are from the MTC Nestor Tobias Sunshine Boxing Academy.

Speaking to Nampa via telephone Friday, Imms Moses, one of the country’s top boxing trainers, said this shows that boxing in Namibia is on the right track.

“This can only happen if you have a promoter who sets up the right fights for the boxers,” said Moses.

In a statement issued Friday, stable owner and promoter Nestor Tobias was full of praise for the boxers and all supporting individuals.

Tobias commended his stable’s combination of talented and committed boxers, knowledgeable trainers and loyal fans.

“Firstly it's all about planning, we have a plan for every boxer in terms of where we want to see them, and our objective is to get them world rated at a certain point of their career,” he said.

The world rankings are updated on a monthly basis.
