Grade 12 Ordinary Level results to be released on Thursday

The Grade 12 Ordinary Level examination results for 2012 will be released on Thursday.
The Ministry of Education announced this in a media statement issued on Monday, saying the results for both full-time and part-time candidates who wrote the National Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) Ordinary Level examinations in 2012 will be made available.
Meanwhile, this may be the last time that candidates’ results will be released with their names in newspapers.
The Director of National Examinations and Assessment, Cavin Nyambe said on 06 January this year that the ministry was looking into only releasing the results accompanied by the examination numbers of candidates of both the 2013 Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) and NSSC examinations.
This follows complaints by some members of the public.
The Grade 12 NSSC Higher Level examinations results were released with names on 21 December 2012.
Out of a total of 52 529 Grade 12 candidates last year, only 10 610 learners or 20 per cent wrote one or more subjects on Higher Level.
